We’ve been contracted to develop plans for an all-new Wastewater Treatment Plant for a major dairy processing facilities due for completion in 2025, but in the interim we have installed a large DAF system to manage wastewater from the dairies holding ponds.
This DAF offers a considerable 90m3/h flow rate and significantly reduces pollutants and the associated algae from the wastewater ponds. Installation and commissioning of the DAF was successfully completed over a 2-week period and included onsite staff training.
The system has an easy-to-use touch-screen control panel allowing full operation of the system with an operational overview of performance parameters. The system also offers comprehensive remote monitoring and control, allowing 24/7 offsite system management
The Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) process separates suspended solids through the addition of saturated air-water mixture which releases micro bubbles. These bubbles adhere to the suspended composite particles, which rise to the surface due to their reduced density, and are then mechanically skimmed away.
