CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
Project Manager
As an experienced Project Manager, you will assist in the co-ordination and construction of water treatment systems from point of order (sales team handover) through to site commissioning and handover. You will be responsible for managing project costs, quality and time for all projects under your management. You will be working within a dynamic environment of professionals where ideas and pro-activeness are rewarded and supported, and challenge of accepted conventions is welcomed.
- Project management for packaged treatment plants and other water treatment systems.
- Work with salespersons, engineers and draftspersons to determine project specifications, design and coordinate drawings.
- Manage project timelines, milestones and build schedules in co-ordination with Production Manager and Productions Scheduler.
- Manage project budgets and costs to build GP in jobs.
- Determine and source needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) for projects in co-ordination with Production Manager.
- Work with procurement for purchasing as required.
- Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities as required in co-ordination with Production Manager and Senior Project Manager.
- Be able to offer technical guidance where needed to both factory and on site staff.
- Work with logistics and Production Manager to co-ordinate delivery of product to site.
- Coordinate drafting requirements to provide accurate drawings as required for each project.
- Manage and coordinate on site installation of systems where required.
- Assist in technical plant commissioning where required. These may require interstate travel and can span a number of days at a time.
- Assist creating bills of materials for projects within budget.
- Evaluate project progress and prepare detailed reports as required.
- Have good knowledge and understanding of project documentation requirements such as BOM’s, P&ID’s, ITP’s MDR’s, Gantt charts etc.
- Assist in project documentation collation, handovers to operations/project management and providing technical design support.
- Demonstrate ability to manage various projects and tasks concurrently, including project timelines, milestones and build schedules in coordination with Production Manager.
- Manage all customer communication from point of sale including delivery, installation and commissioning works.
- Assist creating bills of materials for projects within budget.
- Complete administration work as required including creating of manuals for projects, providing technical data submissions for approvals and other design information as required.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Challenge traditional thinking and design to improve efficiencies.

- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times, in activities, speech and appearance.

- High level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- 5+ years’ experience in the wastewater and water treatment industry.
- Excellent knowledge of membrane filtration including MBR, UF and RO.
- Good knowledge of mechanical design.
- Experience in an office, engineering and sales-based environment.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Project.
- Experience in the use of other Microsoft suite programs.
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
- Understanding of Australian standards, codes, and HSE procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and to use job specific software.
- Ability to comply with written procedures and instruction including following directions working both within a team and individual context.
- Current Construction Induction Card (Red/White Card).
- Current unrestricted drivers’ licence.
- Australian residency.
- Current police check.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent communication skills.
Senior Process ENGINEER
You will need to be able to provide accurate and professional engineering support. The role will involve the use of various computer programs and systems. Proficient computer skills and the ability to learn new systems where required is essential. You must be self-motivated, possess a strong work and team ethic and follow the company values. You will be working within a dynamic environment of professionals where ideas and pro-activeness are rewarded and supported, and challenge of accepted conventions is welcomed.
- Produce equipment lists.
- Follow up of client questions etc and ensure timely response.
- Where required, review plans, specifications and tenders and provide detailed and accurate costings and designs for the sales team, clients and consultants to suit their needs, relying on your experience (and others within the team) in water and wastewater treatment.
- Where required, review requests from Protex Water sales staff and provide detailed and accurate costings and designs as requested.
- Produce datasheets, project case studies etc as required.
- Continuing development of standardised products and design.
- Follow instructions from the Project Delivery Manager/ General Manager and other Protex Water Management staff as required.
- Continual identification of cost saving, time saving and quality improvement initiatives in administration/sales area in consultation with your direct manager and Protex Water Management.
- Process sales orders and other documentation in NetSuite/ Procore as required.
- Assist with/ conduct treatment plant commissioning, plant start-up and performance proving.
- Conduct client training sessions (onsite/ off-site)
- Collect project information and produce OM manuals, spares lists, maintenance information, etc.
- Produce ITP’s ITR’s and other factory testing documentation.
- Follow the company’s policies and procedures at all times and complete reporting as required.
- Housekeeping duties – ensuring and maintaining work area in a clean and safe state.
- Other duties as specified by your manager.
