The Queensland Health Forensic and Scientific Services (QHFSS) required a specialised pH Correction System for their Coopers Plains laboratory facility.
Protex Water was asked to design and manufacture the new system with the expressed purpose of neutralising the pH of laboratory wastewater to allow compliant discharge to sewer.
The Activait pH Correction System was to be feed by an underground holding tank, and treatment was designed to manage a flow rate of up to 15 m3/hr, achieving a target pH of 6.5 – 9, with a 2-hour retention time.
The Activait system features high quality componentry and monitoring equipment throughout. The pH Correction system can be operated remotely or via the inbuilt colour touch screen, providing an on-screen visual representation of the system HMI, showing operation status, critical flows and instrument readings.
