Dual Modular Lamella Thickeners for North Pine Wastewater Plant
AKS Industries were contracted to design, construct and install two Modular Lamella Thickeners, in existing concrete tanks. The combined design flow rate was 130 L/s with a settled water quality requirement of <5 NTU 95 percentile.
Scope of work included site jar testing, removable modular SS plate lamella packs, suspended on a support frame and large gate type mixing paddles for sludge conditioning in each settling hopper. In addition, highly accurate instrumentation was installed to monitor water quality.
