Half Bridge Clarifier for Water Recycling Plant
AKS were contracted to design, construct and install a new half bridge clarifier for the Boneo Water Recycling Plant in Victoria.
The clarifier was 26.0m diameter x 3.0m in height, with a sludge feed flow rate of 150 – 750 kL/h. AKS used CFD modelling to design and guarantee the clarifier performance limit of <10 mg/L TSS.
The mechanical equipment included 316 stainless steel energy dissipating baffles, stamford baffle, launders, and bottom scraper. The half bridge system was hot dipped galvanised for durability.
