Sewage Treatment Plant for Queensland Seaside Holiday Park
Protex Water was engaged to design, manufacture and install an Elementz Sewage Treatment Plant for Moore Park Beach Holiday Park, north of Bundaberg in Queensland.
The system was designed to treat up to 30,000 L/day of incoming sewage, with effluent suitable for irrigation. The system features a Twin SBR design, which takes screened sewage into two large bioreactor tanks with fine bubble aeration to produce a clear decanted supernatant.
The decanted supernatant is polished with AFM and GAC Filtration, followed by UV and Chlorine for Disinfection.
The treated water is suitable for irrigation purposes on the surrounding landscape and on the nearby sports oval, ensuring there is less reliance on local mains water supply.
