Sewage Treatment Plant For Camp Kerr
AKS were aksed to design, manufacture, install and commissioned a new sewage treatment plant for the DoD Camp Kerr, near Rainbow Beach, QLD
The treatment plant was designed to treat a peak of 120 kL/d of raw sewage. It featured a special extended turndown function, including dosing of a Carbon, Urea and Phosphorous chemical blend.
Achieving Class A treatment, the plant uses flat sheet submerged membranes, a USEPA validated UV and Chlorine residual dosing.
There is a dedicated chemical storage container with 1,000 L storage tanks and air powered decanting and transfer pumps.
Packaged across four 40ft containers, the plant room also houses the control panel providing effluent water quality monitoring using advanced instrumentation.
