We were recently engaged by the site managers Brunton Engineering to design and install a plumbing installation for the new bulk chemical storage facility at Visy’s Campbellfield plant.
The scope included installing pipework, via a large piping bridge, connecting the flow of chemicals and Saturated Steam back to the main cardboard processing factory. Critical pipework tie-ins were also managed, integrating new pipework into existing plant infrastructure. 3D modelling of key components and conducting pipework stress analysis models where undertaken at the design stage to ensure the installation met Visy’s requirements.
Visy is a leader in packaging, with a history of using innovative technologies to achieve sustainable outcomes. This new plant was designed to feed an improved manufacturing process to increase the rigidity of cardboard manufactured from recycled materials.
