Atlantium HOD UV System

water biosecurity for critical infrastructure

The Atlantium HOD UV system provides essential water biosecurity for critical infrastructure, such as defence bases and secure facilities. By purifying incoming water supplies and safeguarding internal distribution networks, the HOD system integrates directly into existing pipework – ensuring all passing flow is continuously controlled, monitored, and treated against biological threats.

tHE TECHNOLOGY

The system’s UV technology achieves 4-log (99.99%) microbiological virus inactivation, including surrogates (MS2, QB, T1UV) and human adenovirus. This reliable technology is field-proven and third-party validated to non-detectable microbial levels. The system’s control and performance provide an ultra-high-level safeguard against biological pathogen exposure, protecting personnel.

ENQUIRY FORM

The Atlantium HOD UV System incorporates advanced monitoring.

ADVANCED MONITORING

An advanced operation module delivers real-time operational data.
The touchscreen displays lamp power, flow, UVT, and calculated UV dose, tracking individual lamp status, operating hours, ignitions,
and efficiency.

The system also offers:

  • SCADA integration
  • Remote monitoring and support
  • Secure user-management
  • Automated compliance reporting
UNIQUE INNOVATIVE DESIGN

The core of the Atlantium HOD UV System is a quartz disinfection chamber surrounded by an air block trapping UV rays to repeatedly reflect inside – a phenomenon known as Total Internal Reflection (TIR).

The system utilises medium-pressure lamps that are shorter and more powerful than low-pressure alternatives, emitting broad-spectrum UV that permanently disrupts pathogen DNA and RNA to prevent cellular repair.

This design also uses an optical amplification mechanism that recycles UV photons within the quartz chamber, maximising energy efficiency.

Flexible APPLICATIONS

The HOD UV system provides multi-barrier biological protection against pathogens while reducing chemical disinfectant dependency across mission-critical defence assets.

Other Defence applications include:

  • Naval, Army and Airforce facilities
  • Mobile Water Treatment systems
  • Water reuse in secure facilities
  • Military hospitals
  • Diver training pools
  • Defence research laboratories
